Robot vacuum cleaners are becoming more and more diversified and multiplying their functionalities. This is the case of Roborock S7 which both vacuums and mop the floor after its passage. Today, its price goes to 494 euros instead of 649 euros when it was released.
The Roborock S7 is one of the latest references from the brand of the same name. The S7 model takes up the know-how of the brand, bringing some improvements compared to the previous generation. Its major asset is its ability to suck up dust, but also to mop the floor for you. On site or remotely, you can easily start cleaning without worrying about cleaning the floors of your home.

The Roborock S7 not only sucks up dust, it also doubles as a mop for thorough cleaning. In addition to integrating a mop, the robot vacuum cleaner has a more durable rubber brush than before, intended to collect dust. The novelty on this model lies in the mop which is now vibrating, and rotates up to 3,000 rpm. This allows the Roborock S7 to rub dirt off, rather than wiping it off and therefore better remove ground-in dirt. It will also be possible to raise the mop when approaching an obstacle that should not be wet, but vacuumed, for example a carpet.
However, if your carpet is too thick, it will be impossible for the robot to perform this action. You will therefore have to go through the application in order to program a delimitation of an area via the cartography. By integrating a LiDAR sensor, the Roborock S7 will be able to map your home up to four floors, data that you can then consult on the application (available on iOS and Android). This application will allow you to manage the cleaning of your device, create routines to plan a daily passage, configure the intensity of the cleaning, or define zones so that the robot does not destroy everything in its path if you have cables lying around for example. Moreover, it will even be possible to control your voice, because the vacuum cleaner is compatible with the voice assistant Alexa or Google Assistant.
Finally, in terms of its autonomy, the Roborock S7 will be able to run for 3 hours before falling into battery bay, according to the brand. But it is only in standard mode and therefore without using the mop for washing, a bit of a shame when you know that one of its assets is its mop. Tested by the editorial staff, the robot lasts about 1h30 to 1h45 depending on the surfaces and needs. It will take more than 2h15 for it to fully recharge and regarding the capacity of these tanks, you can count on 470 ml for the one intended to store dust, and 300 ml for the water tank.
Data Sheet :
● Functions: Suction and cleaning
● Suction power: 2.5 kPa
● Dust bin: 470 ml
● Water tank capacity: 300 ml
● Battery: Li-ion 5,200 mAh
● Autonomy: 150 minutes
● Maximum sound: 57 dBA
Characteristics:
A mop that cleans with the power of sound.
Sonic vibration technology transforms robotic mop cleaning. No need to drag a wet mop. Your mop now rubs up to 3,000 times per minute. Powered by a 300 ml electronic water tank, it cleans the floors thoroughly.
Ready to get up
The smart mop rises when the S7 detects a carpet. So you can mop your hard floors and vacuum your carpets, all in one cleaning. She also gets up when the S7 has returned to her station and the cleaning is complete, so you can say goodbye to the unsightly plastic doormats and traces of dirt.
Certified bacterial eliminator
Keep allergens and bacteria away from your household every time you clean with the VibraRise® mop. Proven effectiveness to eliminate.
Improved floating brush
Closer to the floor to clean better
To dislodge dirt, a brush must remain close to the ground. Improved to allow multiple motion planes, the S7’s new floating main brush closely tracks the floor, even on irregular surfaces, for better cleaning.
Maximizing aspiration
Equipped with Roborock’s HyperForceTM suction system, the S7 uses 2,500 Pa2 suction to capture fine dust on hard floors, hair on carpets and all other dirt.
Cleans again, again and again
Bigger is better, because it means less work for you. The 470ml dust bin stores dust day after day. The 300 ml water tank allows deep cleaning up to 200 m2 6 in one pass. A 5200 mAh Li-ion battery powers everything powerfully for up to 3 hours on a single charge.
Autonomy
The Roborock S7 does significantly worse than its predecessors in terms of autonomy. It runs out of steam after 1 h 35 min in standard mode. On the maximum mode, it returns to its base after about 1 h 15 min. Note in passing that it asks to return to its base as soon as it passes under the 20% autonomy mark. As for the charging time, it is very long, since it takes almost 2 h 30 min for a full recharge of the batteries.
Navigation system
With its laser rangefinder, the S7 is able to map its environment and perform methodical zigzag navigation; he begins to clear the corners and then clean the inside of the room. We notice that the Roborock S7 manages without any difficulty to climb on a thick carpet or to climb on a chair foot. We appreciate that he gets out of perilous situations alone and rarely asks for help. It easily avoids big obstacles, but rushes without hesitation on a slipper or cable. We even caught him dragging a cable for a few seconds without stopping in his tracks.
- Expert’s Rating :
With its S7, Roborock once again signs a formidable robot vacuum cleaner. It has a very good navigation system, exemplary suction performance and a credible washing system which is not common on hybrid robots. Its weaknesses are nestled in its autonomy too low to clean a large area at once and in its noise level a little too high.
I’m happy to participate of program. Thank you!
